African Clawed Frog Tank Size

Hi everyone, this is my first post, I needed advice about rehoming an albino ACF that I recently bought. My girlfriend wanted one for our ten gallon community tank, so of course I bought it. I mistakenly thought it was a dwarf instead of an ACF when I bought it, now I'm concerned about my fish. The ACF is eating pellets well and doesn't seem tempted by the fish at all...yet. So I am looking into moving him to another tank before he starts eyeing my fish. What size should I move him into? I currently have a 2.5 and I have a 10 gallon at school (that I would need to set up), would prefer to keep him at home but don't have the room for another 10 gallon in my apartment. Will the 2.5 work? or should I plan on making him a class pet?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Definitely a 10, and even that isn't permanent. These things get 4-5" snout-vent.

Thanks, I'll turn it into an activity for my classes and will definitely avoid any more impulse buys.
