Cool Absolute bargain!!

Managed to find a tank for sale 54" x 24" x 24" @ 10, perfect condition, looks like iv got a new project to start. Alot cheaper than the bespoke 1 i was going to get size 48" x 36" x 36" @ 450.

Whats your greatest bargain finds that have turned out to be diamonds?

Fish will brighten your day even when the world tries to darken it

To find bargains you have to be checking craigslist, or if there is a local fish keeping forum with a forsale forum that is even better.

don't think i've ever got a bargain,i'm not lucky like that.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

I might have been able to get a bargin on my large 125 gallon tank if I had been patient enough, and diligent enough, to watch craigs list. But 95% of the time people sell their stuff for far more than it's worth used. Like they'll sell a 10 gallon with assorted junk for $50 ... I can buy a whole new setup for $5 more =/

Or they'll sell a 55 gallon for $80-100 ... when you can buy the tank new for $55 from Petco when they do their $1/gallon sale.

Then other times you see a 250 gallon for $300 which is a good deal (provided the tank dosen't leak/cracked/etc) but I have no where to put something like that =)

i did see a bargain once when i visited Florida in walmart, the tank was
a fantastic price, but getting it home would have been nigh on impossible
without major grief, seeing as i live in England lol
