90 gallon question

Hello TFK,
I am thinking about buying a custom acrylic 90 gallon tank. The tank has been running successfully for many years according to the owner. The tank dimensions are approximately 48Lx20Wx22H. The filtration system is housed in the back wall and takes up about 3-4" of the front to back width. The living space for the fish seems very two dimensional. Any thoughts on this type of filtration and tank dimensions?

It currently has two silver dollars (~4" length), two gold gourami (~5"), a cichlid (~6"), a pleco (~6"), and about 3 smaller community fish that I didn't recognize. The owner said he has been transitioning this tank from a cichlid tank to a community tank, as his cichlids die of old age.

I'm not a huge fan of silver dollars or the pleco, plus I believe they would out grow this size tank. I'll probably try to find them new homes.

thanks for any input.
