They may seem okay but what you are doing to them is stunting there growth which causes them to suffer a slow painful death. There bodies will only grow so big but there organs will continue to grow which is unfair to them if you really love your fish you would want whats best for them.

i have an outdoor pond so thats where the goldfish will go and i guess the pleco wil have to stay there alone for now.

Do you have plans for a bigger tank? If there is a Petco near you you can get there tanks for $1.00 a gallon, or Petsmart also has a 25% off sale going on for all there aquariums.

You might have heard this but you shouldn't keep any of those fish in a 10 gallon. As I see it you have two options:
#1. Get rid of all your fish and get something that can fit in a 10 gallon. Like Fancy guppies, cherry barbs, tetras, or danios.
#2. Get a much bigger tank. Just for the 7 goldfish you're gonna need at least a 30 gallon (you'll eventually need about 60gallons) but with teh pleco you'll need a much bigger space, I suggest 55 gallons. You can usually find aquariums on Craigslist really cheap.

i think the best thing to do is to see if a petshop will ake them back.

Okay now I am a little confused you have another post were you say you have a 40 gallon tank that is empty and are thinking about trying playts, but then on your profile you say you have 4 danios and a pleco in a 40 gallon tank, if you have the 40 and really care about the pleco then why not put him in there? Its still not big enough but would be better than the 10 you have him in now.

yeah my mistake. i meant i had a cory in th 40 gal and 4 danios so its essentially unocupied. im on the fence of moving him to the 40 gal or giving him to a petshop
