I'd love to do this in a 20-30g tank - dark substrate, heavily planted with crypts, java ferns, anubias and amazon frogbit with a big shoal of rummynose tetras as the star of the show plus maybe some corys, ottos and cherry shrimp (if your water has lowish pH and hardness)

Ive been doing Balloon Mollys and Platys for 4 generations now. I love to see what markings the next gen will give for the mollys. Actually, I had guppies in the first tank and im still seein hybrid affects from them. Also, I think it is unusual, but I think the Mollys and Platys bred, which is Really unusual, and have spawned some long-bodied molly's. Ive really shown these fish love, by always sticking my whole hand in the water and let them nibble, which i really think helps them "evolve".

IDK, I really fell in love with Balloon Mollys. So I let them breed. In the 4th gen I dont regret it.

So my advice is DEFINITELY start to breed Balloon Mollys. They are SO cool. But you better show them love. I cant wait to see the markings of the next generation and wathing them grow up. I seriously feel pain if I have to euthanize some of them. Totally worth it.!!!!!!!
