Hey guys, a few weeks ago I got 2 TINY 1 inch comet (feeder) goldfish from petco. I started their quarantine on January 16, 2013 and plan to go until February 5, 2013. I plan to put them with one 2 1/2 inch comet goldfish at the end of the quarantine. At first when I brought them home they were moderately active and their poop was whitish clear, but after two days they perked up completely, started eating, and their poop turned a dark brown (almost black) color. They have showed no signs of distress or illness, and seem perfectly healthy.

So, what I'm wondering is if 3 weeks is a long enough quarantine?

Also, am I able to put the little ones with the big goldfish? Her mouth isn't as big as they are.

Thank you, ~Saphira

EDIT: Mods, please feel free to move this to a different area, I'm not sure if I posted this in the right spot.

Usually I quarantine for 2 weeks so 3 weeks should be plenty of time. You can put those goldfish in with the other bigger goldfish is they are too big for the bigger one to eat. As long as the smaller fish are too big to eat they should be fine.
