2006: How much have you spend on your aquarium so far?

I think I have reached 30000-40000 pesos this year. That is equivalent to 600-800 US dollars.

The joys of fishkeeping.

Saltwater can be counted into your bills!!!

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!

I believe I can fly!

I think about it every night and day!

Since I bought my 125 gallon tank, stand, lights, and some discus to put in there, I spent over $2000.00 (USD). My other tanks, probably another $200. I would have spent allot more, but thanks to Craiglists, I got a couple of freebees.

I think I would pass out if I added all it all up. LOL I have a feeling this year will be more expensive as we are planning a saltwater reef tank :)

Man. I can imagine. My plans to start a reef tank would cost me about $10,000 (USD) and that doesn't include the fish

Oooh..Now I fear this year is going to be more expensive. If I see a batch of Galaxy Rasboras in my lfs' tank, I'd go crazy and buy a new tank(preferably 30-40 gallons). Same goes with altums if I encounter them on my summer vacation on May.

Still have to wait for my order of gold rams, Apistogramma agassizi and Apistogramma borelli.

Buying a tank is so expensive. Filter, heater, plants(if my friend won't give me more ) and gravel.

well we only have a small 20 gallon, so the cost is not going to be that much. its probably like 200 at the most.

Mel, what about the saltwater?
I'll edit my first post to include the saltwater.

LOL. I want to go all out with my future reef tank...

135 gallon tank
Stand/canopy
Wet/dry trickle filter with sump
Metal hallide lights
Skimmers
Pumps
Heater and Chiller
Monitoring system with software
Salt
Sand
LR

Luckily, I already bought an RO/DI filter last year and I recently picked up a 55 gallon food grade container for water storage (FREE from Craigslist). Now if only someone would give the above list for free, I'ld be stoked.

My latest addition a mere 125g tank set me back a solid $3500 includes plants, lighting, filtration, driftwood, rockwork, and NO fish. Those set me back another $800-900. Does anyone know how many Snickers' bars that would buy?
