Ok, so I found this amazing deal on a 20 gallon tank, and my parents said I can get it! So, I have NO idea what I wanna stock it with..... I'm open to anything! I'd love a variety of ideas! Thanks! :-D:-D

Maybe a pair of honey or sparkling gouramis with some sort of schooling fish, tetras maybe. Some nice plants and driftwood. Or a pair of rams (always wanted some of those!) with some schooling fish. Or you could do a species aquarium. Oh wait, you like bettas right? Maybe get some wilds...that would be really neat!

Have you thought of going with live plants? You could get some low-light ones like crypts, anubias, and java fern/moss (that is what I have in my tank and it is growing in well despite having to bleach dip them) and it really shouldn't cost too much. I use flourish excel, API root tabs, and a 15 watt 6700K bulb on my 15 gallon and it is doing well.

Rummy nose tetras are really cool! How about
~4-5 rummy nose tetras
~ 1 female betta
~ 1 blue ram
~mabe some cories of some sort
~maybe some ghost shrimp?

And maybe some others, I'm not sure what yet.... Or I could go in a complete different way, Idk, I just liked some of the suggestions, so I put them 2gether. I would love a planted tank! The tank I am looking at has a 25 watt bulb. Kim, I LOVE bettas, but i don't think I'd feel right knowing I took them from their natural habitat.

How bout sand substrtae, celestial pearl danios or sparkling gouramis? they are not commonly found in local fish stores but I have had good luck with www.liveaquaria.com And a shoal of five or six pygmy corys. I too recommend easy low light plants such as those already mentionedAnd some driftwood.

I believe most of the common wild bettas are tank raised now just to let you know ;)

I "think" that rams are pretty social and will do best in a pair, but I don't know for sure.
