20 Gal HELP

I just set up a 20 gal tank 6 hours ago and noticed that i also had a Heater that came with it.

Its got like a knob on the top of it to switch from 16 to 32 degrees. This tank is stored in a very cool room rarely warm.

I wanted to get some tropical fish in the next few days.

Was wondering what i should set the heater to?

uhm well not sure about the F to C conversion but you want to "generally" aim for around 76-80 F

yeah money is right.
weird I'm Canadian and only know how to go by celsius.
But for my aquarium temperature I only know it in fahrenheit lol.(probably because a lot of people on here go in fahrenheit) So I may be wrong but I think its about 24, there is a conversion on the Internet but I'm too lazy. You may have to go up few degrees or down depending on your fish as well.

I usually have to keep adjusting a new heater to find the right setting. Make sure you have a thermometer.
None of my heater dials are set at the actual temperature of the tank. Watch the thermometer closely, and turn the heater dial up or down till you find the right setting.

This may help....http://www.fishforum.com/aquarium-calculator.php

Do read up on cycling a new aquarium.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
