2 Dead Fish, Help

Hello everyone. I have lost two fish this week and wonder if any of you can help. This is in my 125G
Went on vacation for 4 days and had someone feeding al the critters to include the fish. When I came home I had lost one of my Red Shoulders. I thought this sucks, but figured it was from over/under feeding while I was gone. Water looked good and everyone seemed to be acting normal. Yesterday I lost my larger blue dolphin. Neither of them looked like they were getting beat up at all....
My maintenance looks like this,
25 - 30% water change every week.
FX5 Filter, last cleaned, and charged with new chemi-pure on Apr 20
Water parameters are:
Ammonia - between 0 and .25 (closer to 0)
Nitrates - 20
Nitrites - 0
PH - about 7.7

Just a guess, but I suspect an ammonia spike that was higher before you tested for ammonia and may be the result of overfeeding. The result you gave, suggest you are using test strips. These are unreliable for accurate results. More history of the tank inhabitants and its equipment may help.

Everyone of the tests were done with the drops. So maybe the ammonia spike and then it leveled itself out??

Anytime you detect any amount of ammonia, you should consider doing a water change. The concensus for the amount of change is 40 to 50%. I change my water at 40% every week.
