my vote is tetras, cherry red shrimp, black sand, black painted background. dont forget plants...

my favorite freshwater set up!

Plain ol' nerite snails along with P. diffusa and some male fancy guppies. I like this combo all the time.

Cichlids, eh? In a 15g? A single jewel cichlid. Mean little jerks. Like a miniature Jack Dempsey with a really nasty attitude. Perfect to live in a tank by himself. It will also eat pond snails you toss in there if they get out of control in your tetra tank.
