You could get a betta for it. or maybe a nice school of galaxy rasboras and some shrimp. that'd be a nice little set up especially with some live plants in there.

I would go red platies and lots of live plants like echinodora or hygrophila. Maybe also add a few cory catfish.
Or as an alternative, a nice betta also sounds great.

Be careful suggesting corys for a 10 gallon. Only three species are suitable IMHO.

well I got the 75 and the 10g cycling right now, I was thinking a sump for the 75 but my buddy told me its not big enough for all the equipment and media and to get at least a 20.... I don't personally like beta fish.

girlfriend wants a dwarf African frog.. idk what to put with a freakn frog lmao

if you would like ideas, in my tanks, i just put together my 10g.

right now i have red cherry shrimp, celestial pearl danio (galaxy rasbora), and a bunch of snails. the CPD are very shy fish, but i am hoping they will be a little more outgoing once i put some chili rasbora in.

you could easily add an african dwarf frog to the mix.

You could get a single African clawed frog. Very rewarding pets and you can get them as tadpoles (: get about hand-sized and are fully aquatic.
