10 gallon stocking with betta

So I have a cycled 10 gallon tank with fake plants and fine gravel substrate and was looking for stocking ideas. I know I want a male or female betta in there but I was hoping to add a school of small tetras or maybe a few small corydoras? Any specific ideas on this?

Erm, I wouldn't reccomend that. It seems that it's a personality thing- simetimes it works, and sometimes the betta slurps the neon up like spaghetti.

I would say you're pretty limited.... A school of tetras could work, but only if their body is wide/tall. Maybe ember tetras or some kind of rasbora?
Wait, no, they can nip fins.

Probably have to limit yourself to bottom feeders... although a dwarf frog could work.

Well with cories you definately want to keep them in groups...

Pygmy cories are probably a bit too small... Might be tempting if the betta decided it was hungry.

Not really sure... You can check the fish profiles though.
I have to get going. sorry.

I think most corydoras species would be ok. You could go for a group of 6-8 of them and the betta. Or, you could have the betta, 3-4 corydoras and a few other small fish. Maybe a trio of cherry barbs (two female one male)?
