0 Ammonia/0 Nitrite/0 Nitrates - With fish in tank

I recently set up a 10g tank. I currently have just 2 guppies and a small Cory Catfish. There are no live plants. I was impatient and decided to try the fish in method of cycling my tank. Before I added the fish the Ammonia was at .25pmm. After 3 days, my water is very cloudy and I have reading of 0 for all 3 now. Is there something wrong with my tank? Fish look healthy, actively swimming, and eating. Thanks!

Before you added the fish did you do a water change? The cloudy water if a milky whitish color would be a bacterial bloom. It may take a little while for ammonia to start showing up in the tank. Keep an eye on the water parameters and do water changes as needed, when ammonia and nitrites are above 0. Basically through the cycling process you will see a rise in ammonia which will drop, followed by a rise in nitrites which will also drop. You will know that your tank is cycled when your ammonia and nitrites are at 0 and you are getting a reading on nitrates, nitrates should not be any higher than 20ppm. A good article to read that explains bacteria in the aquarium http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/f...91/#post823939 Don't remember if I recommended this in your other post, but if not this should be helpful.
