I don't think so, but are you SURE your fish have worms? In my nearly 20 years of keeping fish, I've never seen a single case of parasitic worms (except in wild-caught fish)

i had a healthy tank for 4 months, no problems. it had 3 platys, i bought one more Platy , she turned out to be sick . she never ate, but the others started pooping white and stringy. every thing i researched said internal parasites. maybe thats not worms, my mistake.

Those symptoms could also be constipation.

As toyour question of harming JF, I also doubt it. JF is pretty tough. Some anti-biotics will decimate softer plants.
