And for people that keep certain types of fish and use RO right mineral replacement but complain about doing so, at least YOU are in COMPLETE control as to what YOU put in your tank. That is why RO water is so important in a salt water reef tank. The fish don't care but the corals do.

I use RO/DI water in my tanks to make sure I know exactly what is going on in my tank. If anythign happens that causes me to worry, I at least know that my source water is not to blame.

I don't use RO/DI, but I think this should be based on were you live, and what kind of water suppy you have .
