what plants go good with my lighting?

I have 1x 24w 6700k compact flourecent bulb, and 1x 24w 10,000k compact flourecent bulb what types of plants go good with this lighting? Someone on another website said that plants wont thrive under 10,000k bulbs. Is this true?

A Anubia Nana Petite, a Amazon Sword, a Large-Leaf Amazon Sword, some Java Ferns, a Red flame sword, some Cryptocorynes, some Rotala Rotundifolias, some Alternanthera reineckiis, some Red Ludwigias all these plants are the ones that I have in the aquarium and they grow so much that I had to make 2 extra ten gallon aqauriums to house the overgrowth of most of these plants.

I also use Seachem's Flourish comprehensive for liquid fertilizer and that is more that enough!

There is nothing wrong with that spectrum mix, I have used it myself. I had a 6700K and 10000K over my 90g and a 6700K and 11000K over my 115g for over a year. Provided the 10,000K is not actinic. Though along with the other tube even that might be OK. The problem with these very cool blue tubes is that algae can have a field day because the plants are held back by the lack of red which is essential to photosynthesis. But the red will be present in the 6700K so it should be fine.

Intensity is the other issue though, and no mention is made of tank size so I can't assess if this is sufficient. If these two tubes are sufficient for the tank, then you're fine. This is also the issue with what type of plants; red-leaf plants and faster growing stem plants may or may not manage.

so do I have medium or high lighting? I have a 14 gallon biocube.

I would call it high. The 14g biocube isn't that deep so you should have no issues. Might have to curtail the duration though, to keep algae at bay.

Yes, i should think so. Keep the Anubias and Java Fern a bit shaded, as under floating plants or on wood overshadowed by a large sword. The red leaf plants will do best under full light.

one more question, were do you buy your plants online?

I am fortunate to have a few local fish stores that have good plant selections from time to time. So I will leave it to others who have used this or that online retailer to comment.
