What do you use to trim your plants and maintain them?

Just curious how people trim plants. For instance if they get too long and you need to cut them back. What would you use? I'm assuming some type of underwater scissor type tool.

I have a 20 and 10 gal planted tanks. I just use my fingers and take off the dead leaves or move my plants around. I have gravel substrate.

yes scissors... They make stainless steel long scissors

They also make a tong with a scissor attachment. They have it at Big Al's.


I just use kitchen scissors.

I have a stainless steel surgical sheer which is small and that works great. I do have to dunk my arm in the tannk though as it is deep.
