I was up early this morning and decided to get a pH even though the tank lights were not on yet.

The color was green, instead of blue like it has been. That corresponds to neutral, 7.0. I wish it would stay that way until 10:30, when I usually take it. I know this is the CO2 talking. Normal pH at 10:30 is 7.6.

I just took a pH at 5:30pm and it was 6.8. It should have been higher than 7.0 instead of lower. Maybe the pH is dropping for some reason, maybe KH. I guess I'll just have to keep on getting pH and see what happens.

One has to let things establish biologically and often they will. Test the pH over a period of days or alternate days, always at basically the same time each day as you know, and for a couple weeks.
