I was hoping you'd stop by - THANK YOU! You've helped me out a LOT in trying to figure out what I could keep - always good to find someone else who is up at all hours of the night when there isn't anyone else on to reply to insane plant questions!

You are very welcome Chesherca! LoL I am usually up at all hours of the night. My job for the past 10 years is the cause of that. Don't think I could ever be a "dayshift" person.

Ohh btw do you have the African water fern in current. It does best with water movement. I seen where ppl didn't have good luck with it until they moved it under their filter.

Good advice, and thank you again! Under the filter is where it is - and put there for that exact reason!

It's just a peewee for now - one little piece, but with a good-sized rhizome. I'm hoping that it and the Java Lace 'Windelov' will root to the rocks that are there. . . the fern is one of the plants that I'm not so sure about, I've read mixed things about what it needs, and some consider it to be more difficult than most of the plants I have in my tank. Obviously I decided to give it a try anyway. I haven't seen much growth yet, but that was expected, as they tend to grow more slowly - especially when compared with the faster growing plants in there. Still green and beautiful, though! Time will tell on this one. . . Still trying to figure out where to root the regular Java, one is attaching to the tip of the driftwood - the other is still kind of free.

I'm a night owl, too. . . only my kids get me up at the crack of dawn - so I pretty much never sleep anymore! Can't wait for those teenage years. Yes - they CAN sleep till noon - but only if momma can, TOO!

LoL my daughter gets up anyway from 9-10:30 so that means I have been a sleep maybe 5 hrs at best by that time so I know the feeling. And since daddy works and mommy doesn't she comes to me since she doesn't see me as much as mommy and teen-ager years are far away for my 3 year old. LoL

Heeeeey. . . 9-10:30 is FANTASTIC at 3! I have a just-turned 2 and an about-to-turn 5 year old girl, and they BOTH have ALWAYS been up by 7am at the latest. I think I'll be missing these early-morning wake-up calls, and that those teen years are a LOT closer than we might think!

My wife and I have been really lucky in that sense. Since she has been about 6 months old she has sleep or atleast not wanted to get out of bed for 12 hrs. She is now in a toddler bed and when she does finally decide it is time to.come wake me up by calling "Wake up daddy! You have to up daddy! " Its generally around that time 9-10:30. On a few occasions its earlier especially if she not filling good. If it is before 7 she gets put back to bed. LoL that's way to early right now.

VERY lucky! I'll go check out that thread, we LOVE camping - and so do the girls (including the two dogs)! Got to take the little one for the first time this year, she had a BLAST. Little mud ball. . . the elder has been twice now :)
