my combia are growing like weeds they are almost at the top of my water level. it seems at the petsmart were i work once they break the water line little bugs emerge from the tips of the plants. i would like to avoid this unless this is normal and my fish will eat them. if it is a bad thing can i just trim the plants and replant the tops that i trim off?

I think those are flowers. And yes, you can trim the tops off and replant them.

good job i cant grow cabomba for love nor money the stuff goes nuts then keels over
