The ones sold at Petsmart/Petco (and all the ones I've gotten online) are sold emersed so in the first month or two they'll be dying leaves left and right as it switches from emersed growth to submerged growth.
They are heavy root feeders though, so I use root tabs with them along with the weekly liquid fertalizer.
