planting without cycling?

Hey, i was wondering if i could plant a tank without letting teh tank go through the nitrogen cycle? I know plants nee the bacteria to turn chemicals and waste into nutrients but could i plant it and just fertilize it?

Yeah there is no need to cycle a moderately to densely planted tank. I've always found it kinda amusing when people cycle planted tanks or shrimp tanks, because honestly they are not doing much. Look at a nitrigen cycle diagram and you will see two arrows pointing from ammonia to a plant and some bacteria. What does this mean? Ammonia is a for of nitrogen, which the plants can use as fertilizer. Plants can acutally process ammonia faster than our bacteria can. The El Natural method of keeping planted tanks, runs off this principal, plants, fish, no filter, and no fertilizer; can equal a stable, safe tank.

Cool, thanks a lot, now i can move my plants over. I wanted to plant my tank and let the roots get a good hold before adding fish beacuse i have had lots of new plants get uprooted.
