Plant id please

My dad just got these plants from Petco. Are they aquatic? I read that most plants in those tube at petco/petsmart is not. I dont have the name to these.

Looks like Mondo Grass probably, which is not truly aquatic.

You can keep it while it's green, but once it starts to deteriorate pull it out.

Agree. Interestingly, although a terrestrial plant, this Mondo Grass or Fountain Plant (Ophiopogon japonicus to give it the scientific name) does sometimes do quite well submersed, for a year or more. Just keep an eye on it.

Did you want the rear plants ID too? They are aquatic.

They're mondo grass alright. Mine are just now going south after 6 months.
