Any idea what this might be? I've had it for a few months now and I thought it's name started with an "A" but as i look again it looks like Hornwort.

It does and it doesn't look like Hornwort...the needles on yours looks to be double the length of mine.

I held up a piece i cut to the actual picture in the profile. It looks soooo close. I put it to float anyway in my 50 gallon. I had it planted in my 10 gallon before and noticed that some of the needles were turning yellow which is why i started the research. It wouldn't be the first time I planted a plant that shouldn't be planted.

Could be Myrio Green, Ambulia, Limnophila Indica, Bacopa.

You might be right about the ambulina. That sounds about right, I sped read about it and it sounds about right to me.

Think i can leave it floating? its done amazing coverage of my tank.

If it is I am pretty sure it can be planted or floated.

I would suggest it is likely a species of Myriophyllum judging from the leaf/stem structure.
