Plant Getting Float

I have 8 gallon fresh water tank with 5 Neon Tetra, 2 small gold fish and 1 fighter fish. They are going very well from last 4 months. I have internal filter, internal heater and buble maker. I have gravel as stone. I got 1 plant immerse type so what I did i tie with stone put in the tank may 4 -5 plants. I cannot tie them tight as their steam is very thin and it will break. And plant was doing well it was making new leaf but the problem is that after every 10 - 15 days plants start floating.
So I need help from you people how I will keep them immerse what should I have to do for that. You people valuable tip will be appriciable

What kind of plant? most likely the Goldfish is picking at the plant and dislodging it, they love to eat most plants, also, Goldfish are cold water fish and need 45-65F water and the neons and Betta are tropical and need 78-80F water temps. Common Goldfish can grow nearly 2ft too and best kept in ponds IMO/E. You may want to re-think your stocking.

good point by oldfishlady...

regardless of what size tank you bring into the equation....you have two different kinds of fish which requrie two really different types of water parameters...as pointed out, you're lookin at a temp difference of almost 20+ degrees!! Thats alot for some fish to cope with. if you are going for a bigger tank, you'll need to keep in mind most Goldfish will need anywhere from 40-75 gallons a piece when fully grown.

You should also up your Neon Tetra count to atleast 6, they are shoaling fish which enjoy being in groups of 6 or more to ease their stress level and keep them comfortable.

What kind of plant is it? You said their stems are very small...a pic of type of plant would be most helpful.

One side note...you said you have an air bubbler(wand)....most planted tanks are recommended not to have anything breaking the surface of the water, when that happens your tank loses oxygen, which your plants need to live.
