Will a carbon filter absorb my liquid plant fertilizer? i have a small carbon filter in my 150 gal tank (obviously not the only filter) mainly because it breaks the surface tension. because i heard thats good to do. but is it keeping my plants from geting nutrients?

I'd remove the carbon. Yes, it will remove the nutrients. I don't find it necessary unless your tank has odors, tainted with medicines or having tannic acids which you won't like if it discolors the water.

dont think its going to take all of it out. might take out some but its not active after 2 weeks. unless your trying to treat for something no need to use it like lupin said........
