Yup. So you'd want your rocks, or your driftwood (that is driftwood right?) 16 inches from one side of the tank.. If you want to keep the driftwood I'd get some smaller rocks to sort of go around it.

Another thing, I also have fun creating hills in the back of tanks, gives some extra depth. :)
Personally I've never had problems with places with deep sand beds either, especially if they're planted.

Ok and if your talking about the big driftwood I'm not going to be able to move it. It's just too large and it's hard to move. Byron also said to place it there.

Haha aww! I'd build up some height with plants behind it, and maybe some smaller pieces of driftwood or even rock around it, it stands out a lot right now.

Of course take this however you want, but I think this would be a nice rock set up for the tank now.
5 rocks, different sizes, just be sure they all are roughly the same colour/type and I think it'd look swell.

Ok, I'm open to that idea, but the problem will be finding nice looking rocks. I'll really look at a few stores and my lfs.

Try landscaping stores too. I'm pretty positive that anything that doesn't fizz when you put vinegar on it is fine to use.

Ok, There's a place I know that has a very nice section of hardscape so I check there first then go to a landscaping store.

My suggestion would be to stay with more of what you have, or at any rate don`t have too many bits of hardscape that are too different. Uniformity always opens up the space and appears natural, since it replicates nature. The same type of wood, or similar rocks.

your tank is looking good. i never heard of golden rule of thirds, very interesting. i will be looking at my tank differently now.
