More Mopani Fungus Issues

So I got home from work just now and my last piece of Mopani Driftwood is showing signs of fungus. Needles to say, I want to remove it right away, my problem is I have 4 plants tied to it. They were tied just recently (within the last week) so they don't have a firm anchor yet.

My question is, what can I do with the plants until I can get some new driftwood? Just FYI, it WON'T be more Mopani.

Do I just allow them to float? They are top heavy so they will float upsidedown.

The plants are:

(3) Anubias Barteri Var. Nana
(1) Anubias Barteri Var. Nana 'Petite'

They will be OK floating, or if you want you can bury some of the fine hair roots (not the thick rhizome) in the substrate to hold them down.

I've got my anubias "eyes" floating in my tank right now until I plant them on Sunday and they've been fine.. my tank looks like a mess, but the plants seem happy so far. Most of them aren't floating upside down either.
