"Moon" LED lights effect on plants

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether or not the new "moon" light LED's have any consequence at all to plant growth in the aquarium?

The "moon" lighting is believed to affect fish and plants to some extent. Both expect a period of total darkness, and their internal physiological equilibrium can be offset if complete darkness is not provided for a certain period every 24 hours.

We tend to forget than "moonlight" is something very rarely seen by fish living in the tropical regions. The overhanging forest cover creates fairly complete darkness for 10 or so hours.

There is absolutely no question as to the effect moonlight has on spawning freshwater fish and saltwater fish and corals. I was wondering about plants being affected. There are several different wavelengths of "moonlights" with some in the 453nm spectrum range and others in the 12,000K range, which would appear to have a great impact on the growth of plants. ( I don't know if the fish would like this at all)

According to me, there are no issue with vegetation from Moon LED light but it is considered to impact fish. So, you should use dim mild for it.

When researching my article on light I did find info that something like carlights through a window or room light would disrupt plants in an aquarium.

True moon light is probably much less intense that so-called "moon" lights over a tank.

The main issue is that fish and plants require a period of complete darkness, so the moon lighting should be restricted accordingly.
