Ludwigia rotting :[

That's odd, I have a 10G with 2x 10W CFLs and my ludwigea repens is growing like mad.
Is it ludwigea repens?

You dose flourish every 5 days? I thought it was once a week....

Also, do you have a lot of surface agitation? (airstone, or can you hear a trickling splashing sound?)
If so, you might be losing to much CO2.

my tank has an airstone put in at night any my plants are still growing like crazy. different tanks different stories lol

I believe it is Ludwigia repens. The bottle said once or twice a week.
I don't have an air stone running and my filter is one of the whisper ones so the water doesn't really move much.

In the middle of cycling so it's kinda everywhere.

A photo may help, but in general, Ludwigia is a demanding plant depending upon the species. L. repens is the easiest, it tolerates soft or hard water (all the others are soft water and will readily rot in hard water) and moderate light [the others are more demanding]. L. repens needs cooler water, not above 26C/79F long-term. Good nutrients. All this comes from Kasselmann.

8.4 is a bit high... That may be the reason.

Ludwigea repens won't use root tabs.. They are a stem plant. Their roots are just for anchoring them to the substrate. What's the name of the fertiliser?

Yeah, it's that one and no. I currently only have my cellphone to take the pictures and they are not good ones.

i just made a thread similiar to this topic. guess i shoulda checked b4 i posted ^^ sorry. lol i have the same problem with my red Ludwigia. i used to have this plant in a 23 watt 10 gallon tank and had the same problem. I jjust pink of the dead pieces or let my shrimps eat the dead. BUt its very depressing to see my plant rot like that :/
