| | Lotus bulb/plant growing crazy
well, I've had about 6 louts bulbs in my tank for the last year. I recently put a uv sterilizer in my tank about 1 month ago. the bulbs have really just had about half dozen leaves on them until I put the sterilizer in it. After this, they have began growing like crazy. I have the bulbs just sitting in the tank and some have gradually been buried and some not. the ones realy close to the uv sterilizer got crazy real fast. one even has 3 sections growing off it and the roots are coming out and goin into the gravel. I love this, but the one other one has HUGE leaves and is growing literally a couple inches a day. I just got home from work and one stem was about 1.5 inches from the top of my tank's water line. It is now one hour since I got home and it is at the top of the water line....so it grew about 1.5 inches in an hour! I'm not joking about this and have NEVER seen ANY plant grow like this. what is going on in my tank to cause this? lol...and is it going to out grow my tank?
my phosphate level is and has been at 2ppm for the last year.
