I'm looking at getting some plants for my tetra tank. Can anyone suggest some that might work? You can see it under my aquarium tab. It has a GH of 180 and KH 240 and PH is 7.6ish.
Oh yeah.. they must be easy to care for :) Never had plants before.

It would be helpful to know what type of bulb you have and it's recommended to get something in the 5500-6500K range. I have found swords are easy and you can get them at lfs, without having to pay for shipping. If you are going to order plants online, you can sort and view "easy" plants and see what light requirements they need etc and pictures too! Crypts are also easy. Java Fern is easy, but grows slow and needs a piece of wood or rock to be attached to. I'm sure others will weigh in with more experience. I have lots of plants, but I can never remember their names but they are surprisingly doing well. I do use Flourish Comprehensive for fertilizer. Plants are so worth it!
Hmm.. I have no idea exactly what kind of bulb is in there atm. I'm pretty sure it's just a standard halogen, like you would put in the ceiling.
Halogen? Do you mean florescent? You really do need a florescent bulb that has a K rating, (I forget what the "K" stands for), of about 6000K, but any hardward store can help you with that, or just buy a bulb at a fish store (though they're a bit more money, about $18.00).
K is for Kelvin lol. I spent last night reading through Byron's 4 part series on plants :) helped alot. Will be getting a proper bulb soon. I think we're going to get the lightning.. and some darker gravel before getting the plants.
