list of plants i'd like (can i pull it off?)

MTS is in full swing here at my house! I got my 15 gallon rimless (sweeeeet!)...and a 10 for my husband.

it will likely be an open tank with shrimp and maybe celestial pearl danios.

what would you get, if difficulty and price and shipping and availability weren't factors? they will need to be medium to high light plants. here are a few that interest me:

1. Egleria fluctuans (if difficulty were no object)
2. Hygrophyla corymbosa "stricta"
3. Hygrophyla polysperma "ceylon"
4. Limnophila aromatica
5. any microsorum (esp. narrow leaf)
6. Red root floater (Phyllanthus fluitans)
7. Rotala Goias

Now the interesting thing will be if I can find these plants, what the reality of taking care of them will be (ie. can i?), can keep them alive, and what my real plant list will look like in, oh, three months from now ; )

Hold that thought...OPEN tank with SHRIMP...Steph you know I love open tanks that are planted inside-out but with shrimps you're asking for troubles finding them on the wrong side of the tank; they will climb out trust me; been there & done that and wasn't cool at all (mine got out at the back of the hood where the cables for filter ran through). In the Shrimp section here is a sticky for set ups too if you care to read it.

As far as getting the pants; I'd pers simple email Mary at Sweetaquatics and see if she can do her magic tricks and organize them for ya. May take a lil longer then the avg Amazon Sword order but it would work

As for you keeping them alive I don't see why not!? Maybe cause I have more tank-faith in you by now then you yourself.....You know all about right set up, know all about lights and ferts etc, you also learned that more wattage ain't always better...I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.

i never said i'm going high-tech, silly. we'll leave it at "maybe". i enjoy my current set ups so much that i'm not in a big hurry anyway, waiting and doing my research as to what to get as far as substrates (thinking of trying something new even though gravel works just fine for me, just for fun), and still have to order that cover from tap plastics. so rimless, yes, open top, no.
