LED question

So, I couldn't resist picking up a new in box, Tetra brand, 3 gallon aquarium, for $5 at a thrift store This hobby is addicting! Still have it "hidden" in the garage, because when my husband sees it, he'll be rolling his eyes that I got another tank.

Anyways, my question is it has a clamp on LED light. Is that going to be enough light to grow any type of plant? It doesn't have any facts/info in the directions about the light.

When I set it up I need to understand what type of plants I could put in this cute little tank. Not sure yet, if I'll move my RCS over to it, and keep my 5 gallon empty in case my GBR's spawns ever hatch, or if I'd get a pair of pea puffers for the 5 gallon.

I posted this question in another category, and realized it is a better question here.

What kind of plants can grow in a small 3 gallon tank, with a clip on LED light? The light came with the tank set up, and I have no clue about how good 6 small LED lights are for plant growth. Directions/instructions say nothing about the light

Probably not much =/ The intensity of those lights are probably very low, but then that's a very small tank.

You could try the typical low light plants, like a Java Fern or Anubias.

Yes, this is difficult to answer without knowing the light specs. Those with LED experience might be able to suggest plants from the specs. I have seen thriving small (up to 15g) planted tanks in a lfs with LED light but I've no idea on the specs. I do know it had a lot of little lights (forgotten what these are called now).
