Here are a few pics of the ones I have done fairly recently as an example. I rescaped not to long ago, so everything is still in the early stages. The Anubias has doubled in size since I attached it, and the java ferns were all glued as juveniles. I had a Java Fern reproduce and each one was tiny with only a single leaf when placed. This was only a short time after, and you can see there wasn't any negative effect. Anubias and Java Fern on rocks.
