Holes in plant pleaves--Nutrient definiency?

Yeah it was the swords I was rethinking not the loaches.I'm getting those for sure.What crypts,if any,grow large?

Cryptocoryne Pontederiifolia is said to grow larger tham many of the crypts. I have five of them that when I received them,, were around seven inches.

I am so happy that I read this before getting any loaches. I am currently trying to find a way to switch out some of my fish because they are killing my other plants. I was thinking of adding loaches instead. I would have been so disappointed to then have them eating my swords. My Swords are the only plants in my tank that are NOT taking a beating from my current fish. lol

Inga, I'm glad you saw this. It shows you that we all go through trial and errors in the fish keeping world. I know you're having a heck of a time with your fish and plants right now. See, we all do I still wouldn't get rid of my loaches. I enjoy them too much.

1077, thanks for the suggestion. Right now it isn't out of hand, but if I find I have to swap them out, I'l llook into your suggestion.

Oh, I can definitely understand not getting rid of your loaches. I just don't look forward to getting any as I did before I read this. I am having difficulty with the idea of getting rid of the fish I currently have as well. I worry about them. Especially the more I hear of people having inappropriate set ups for their fish. All too often the fish are just dumped or worse. I hate to think I re-home my fish only to have them become food for something else.

I'm not rehoming any fish. If anything, if I have to I'll buy different plants.

Interesting. My clowns, yoyos & dwarf chains don't touch mine. Remind me again what type loaches you have??
