Growing plants from bulbs

I just tossed some bulbs in my tank - how long will it take them to sprout?

As some bulbs are quite slow to grow, you may have to wait. CO2 usually increase speed of growth.
What plants are they? Nymphea or aponogetons?

I dont know, they are "assorted" from petsmart. I have CO2 setup on the tank as well as a vermiculite lower substrate topped with sand as recommended here: http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/kelly-intro.html. As I am planning on using this tank to grow plants for my new 90gal, and i am planning on getting Discus....what type of plants should I start growing?

Josh, here is the reference for Discus tanks. There are plants included in it.
