Gravel Vac?

Hey everyone, I just planted my first planted tank () and was just wondering how I go about vacumming the gravel without disturbing the roots?

hi
i find that if i go around the plants,and not very deep
then it works ok for me. :)

Depending on how heavliy planted it is....I usually angle in from the side, toward the underside of the plants. If they are small enough, I put the vac right over the plant.
