OK, i'm gonna move my Panchax to the big tank, but i really need to give them some cover, so what are good, easy to keep relatively low light floating plants? Cheers.

Red root Floater or Water Lettuce.
(Phyllanthus fluitans) , (Pistia stratiotes)
Should both work to give your fish some cover.
You could always just float some Wisteria, Elodea, foxtail, and a lot of other plants that are normally planted. I have had a lot of success growing Primrose, Bacopa Australis and other plants floating and they seem to grow faster than if they were planted.
