Floating Plants- probably a stupid question

Hi, I have a question about floating plants in the aquarium. It's probably a stupid question but I have a hang on back filter in my 55 gallon tank. I want to add some floating plants to it, so my angels will feel more at ease. But.. with the current of the water falling from the filter, how do you keep the plants from floating all over the tank and being pushed down and around by the flow from the filter? Know what I'm trying to get at? Like I said this is probably a stupid question.

thanks in advance,

I once had a problem with the filter knocking around my small floating plants. I actually used Water Sprite as kind of a base for my plants and put the rest of my plants in between them, making a floating platform where the smaller plants are anchored to the larger Water Sprite.

I agree with the others, use something like Water Sprite or Brazilian Pennywort, they both float well and won't be affected much by the falling water. Water Sprite works best of the two in my opinion. With one or the other, they will buffer the turbulance a bit if you wanted something else like Amazon Frogbit or Dwarf Water Lettuce. I wouldn't recommend Duckweed as it is really small (but is really fast growing).
