Egeria densa

I have some Egeria densa in my tank and its growing like stink. I am going to cut it down a few inches and let it float until I can plant it. I am wondering, if I put it in a normal bowl of water and placed it in the window, would it grow?

Plants need CO2, nutrients, and light to grow. what is your lighting, fertilisers, filtration, etc?

No, as in, Stink travels fast...

The plants are growing very fast.

i have never heard of growing like stink before... lol. Stem plants generally grow very well anywhere after they get established. You could probably grow it successfully in a jar s long as you dose ferts and its not too cold for the plant.

Egaria densa has a reputation for that. It's one of that's plants that makes you feel like your takashi amano. You could grow it in sunlight, but you will also get algae. I have had strand of egaria densa four feet long. I wouldn't be surprised if they grow much longer.
