I know you probably have more but I wanted to make sure things were clear as to what you are asking.
For a 125 gallon, 2.5 watts per gallon is a lot of light and you should be able to grow anything you want to. Assuming of course the bulbs are 6500 Kelvin or higher and are good plant growth bulbs. If this is what you have then you are on your way to being able to grow many plants and have a lot of good growth. If you do have 2.5 w/g with good quality lighting, I would also recommend looking into getting pressurized CO2 sooner or later. It may become a neccesity to control algae down the road.
