DIY co2 system

Ok, I'm finally going to get around to doing a DIY CO2 system, I think?? I understand it all now. But there are some things I'm not so sure about.

I wanted everyones personal experiences on the best way of dissolving the gas into the water. I see there are many options, and I wanted to look into something like the Econo Aqualine 500 by AquaBotanic, seems like a fun, and more effective way to dissolve the gas. But I went on their site and couldn't even find it, plus all the shipping and handling crap and I might as well just buy a CO2 system.

So anyone? Help? Something effective and won't cost a lot. What about a DIY forced reactor? I'm kinda unsure about that one, has anyone tried it?

Awesome thank you :D I'm really liking the nano co2 diffuser, and for like 7 bucks you can't go wrong. I'm going to need something slighter bigger though, those are good for 20 gallon and smaller. So I'm going to shop around a little and see what I can find, thanks again!!!

I totally remembered my other question too! Theres a way to like calculate the co2 level in your tank, and you need like two tests for your water... And I really can't remember what they are or how to figure it all out. Lol any thoughts?

There's also a calculator online where you can enter your PH and KH and it will tell you what your co2 level is at. I don't have the link, but that calculator did help tell me that I needed more co2!

I posted that DIY link for you before. Dunno if you checked it out or not. But one of the things I really liked about it is the idea of NOT using any glue or silicone in the construction of your DIY. Rather than using silicone to provide the airtight seal it suggests using plastic bulkhead fittings like these http://cgi.ebay.com/Fourmost-Bulkhea...2em118Q2el1247 to create the airtight seal. Of course you have to make sure your silicone line can fit around the end, but I think it will make the job 10 times easier, quicker, and less messy. It's what I'm going to be using for my system!

Sorry beweeb!!! I guess I didn't notice my e-mail notification that you had replied. I believe that is the sort of tester I am looking for!! Seems really complex I have no idea how to use it lol.

But qpc68, Your right! I was thinking about the ph and kh being used to find co2 levels in the water. I already have a pH tester so all I would need is my kh. I did use that link!! Thanks a lot! that helped so much, I was just unsure of what I wanted to use as my diffuser as that link had many options, I'd figure I would play it safe and ask the fish peeps. Aka all of you wonderful fish enthusiasts :D

Hahaha awesome! You answered a question I didn't even want to ask... What the heck is a bulkhead?!?! Lulz, yeah, after what I've read on DIY systems exploding... I'm DEFINITELY playing it as safe as possible and not sealing anything with glue. Thats just risky business.
