I agree, warmer temperatures can cause the crypt melt. But this is not a "melt" but a leaf now and then. If I understood correctly.

I'm having the same problem with my Crypts. It all started once temperatures started going up and I was losing a good number of leaves before I installed fans on the tank. To give you an idea, temperatures were fluctuating from 84f to 86f at the time.

Now that I've been able to keep the temperature in the 80f range things are starting to calm down a bit. Interestingly, though, one "batch" of crypts did not lose any leaves along with the other ones. I'm not sure what caused this crypt to not lose most of its leaves when the other ones clearly were, but I thought I'd point that out.

yes. but normally for every dead leaf, it seems i get 5 or more in its place! now im losing leaves and losing new leaves. everything else is exploding!
