Well, I wound of going this route

its a dual t5 fixture with two 24w bulbs

i also went on amazon and bought a co2 diffuser, because I want to try the diy Co2 injection on my tank too.

i figured i might as well go all out!

Lol sounds like something I would do , start shopping for a t8 bulb upgrade and end up going completely in the opposite direction . personally I'm all high tech with my reef tank but love the low tech natural simplicity of my planted tanks. good luck you're entering a whole new world keep us posted on how it goes

haha, yeah I have a tendency to do things like that. I think it will be a fun learning experience going a bit more hi tech with the plants!
