was wondering why leaves are turning yellow. i use liquid ferts, root tabs and leave the lights on about 10 hours. its starting from the tips and working downward. the temp of the tank is 75. all other plants are doing fine.
So we can answer this question more thoroughly we need to know what type of ferts your using the type of lighting you have on your tank and is this a new plant. I would also want you to describe the yellowing of the plant is this happening in a new or establish aquarium it seems as if there is a deficiency somewhere. Describe the plant food and your dosage as this can also be a factor.
im using flourish comprehensive (1/3 capful since i have a 20 gallon tank) also flourish tabs put in the sand. the plant is a week old and its also a new setup. the light is a 15w t8 flourescent glo light. i also have a Java Fern, argentine sword, Anubias and dwarf hairgrass. all are doing fine. its a sand substrate with rocks and driftwood. i dose the liquid twice a week.
This is why you're seeing some dieing off of leaves. It's very common for this to happen when plants are moved to a new setup. My swords lost all of their leaves when I put them in my tank, but grew back from the roots. Just make sure the roots stay where you put them and your swords will be just fine.
