This weekend( forsure lol) I'm going to my lfs, and I need some help to find mid- ground and fore ground plants. I'm thinking maybe some rotala for the mid-ground right corner and just keeping it trimmed down. As for other plants I'm unsure.

I personally do not like stem plants because they grow fast and require constant pruning, and this would be especially true if the intention is to keep them low as foreground plants.

My suggestion would be more along the lines of Pygmy chain sword, some of the smaller crypts, Dwarf Sword. Corkscrew Vallisneria perhaps.

Okay people, I just put in my plants. I spent over $60 on plants and this nice piece of driftwood, it has a base. I tried and done messing with it for the night, but I might post pics. also I saw some Ludwigia peruensis and some sort of barb that started with an a. Does anyone think they know what the barb is? One suggestion. Move the wood on the left a bit to the right, about even in front of the filter tube behind. Then a tall-growing plant in the left rear corner, this is where something like Brazilian Pennywort is ideal. This will expand the visual space and make the tank look larger. When there is a lot of chunky wood in a tank, you can get away with some in the corners because the several pieces extend the space visually. But when you only have one or two pieces, and one is large, it should be away from the end walls or it tends to box in the size.
