Yeah Spongebob is pretty scary!!! LoL
I wonder since the figurines were fading and losing paint if it wasn't messing with the water. Causing stress and making them hide more then normal for them?

Seems possible to me. . . that or perhaps the bright colors were seen as a signal of danger to the fish? I have no idea, but I wouldn't be surprised if they really did have a direct effect on the little guys, somehow. At least NOW you have an excuse to give your daughter about why you're NOT going to replace them ;)

Its been awhile since I updated this thread and nothing really has changed. Everyone is still doing good.
The Scarlet Badis tank was bugging me though as it had a "hole" in the aquascape that had to go!

That hole yeah it was bugging the crap out of me as it was incomplete.

So I had to fix it and moved somethings around.










It looks a lil better that way. Though its still a lil "empty" to me! Which is why I ordered some plants last night from Bobs Tropical plants (and they have already shipped them!).
I ordered 1 Crypt Tropica, 2 C. Mi Oya, 1 C. Nevillii, and 1 Anubias Coffeefolia.
I know the Anubias Coffeefolia is going into this tank along with one of the C. Mi Oya but nit sure about the rest or what tank they will be going into.

Okay so I am trying to figure out where to put some of my new plants at in the Scarlet Badis tank.
This is what I was kinda thinking but was wondering what y'all were thinking



C.M. = Crypt Mi Oya.
C.T. = Crypt Tropica
C.N. = Crypt Nevillii
A.C.= Anubias Coffeefolia

The Crypt circled red I was thinking of moving to the left to make room for C. Nevillii. Also the arrow pointing to the rock in the front I was thinking of moving to also make room for C. Nevillii but there only problem there is that rock is covering up where I cut the wood. So not sure what do here any thoughts or suggestions???

Oh the C.M on the left won't be under the driftwood but in the left back corner. You will be able to see it where i draw it at through.

Lookin good!! I agree. There was a hole in the aquascape, but it looks a lot better now. And it's going to look ever better with more crypts!

Why not put the C. nevillii to the right of that rock? Showing where you cut the wood is kinda tacky IMO. I have one tank where you can see the cut marks, and I really don't like it.

Hmmmm... dilemma!

Could you use some of that moss on the rock(?) and attach it where the cut is - then you could do whatever you like with it, and never have to worry about it again!

It's hard for me to visualize, because I've never seen it in person, but from HERE, I'm thinking that it *might* also be an option to scoot the wood back and to the right a little bit. . . on a diagonal with the cut bit tucked behind your Anacharis stand. . . or hidden somehow with the other piece of driftwood that you have back there. . .

Whatever you do will look nice! Good luck with the rescape - can't wait to see how you work it all out. The new crypts are making me uber jealous right now!

Well I *can* but not knowing how tall it can get I don't want it to cover up my Broad Leaf Sagittaria.
Not sure exactly what species the Nevillii is as I was told that species isn't sold in the aquarium hobby and is more then likely Crypt x willisii which can get 3-6" tall. That's high enough to cover up my Sagittaria
The moss you are talking about hasn't taken hold of anything there and is kinda tucked in between the rock and the piece of wood so that definitely a possibility of putting it on the end of the driftwood to cover up the cut end.
Jes you see the rock thats marked A.C. on it yeah that rock is holding up the piece of driftwood in front of it. The one you are suggesting I move to the back and to the right. I guess I can try it but not sure how to get it stand up? Also If I do that I would have to move the driftwood to the left as well as it and the Anubias is covering up the other side of the driftwood that is also cut. Remember all those pieces were one big piece at one time soo they all have cut marks on them. They way I have them now is the only way at the time I could figure out how to cover up all the cut ends.

OH! This IS fun! Every tank is like a puzzle. . . there's usually more than one solution, but you always know when you've found it - and when you haven't! Someway, somehow - all of those pieces will click into perfection. *nods*

Hmmmmm... I remember why you butchered your wood, lol, but it sure made things difficult! Do you have any pics of the wood just after you cut it?
