I still can't belive that he bit you! After you've cared for him so well for over a year. . . what an ungrateful little fish! I still think that he must have thought you were that darn cat coming into his tank again, and was trying to defend himself - and his plants - from the onslaught! *youch*
I'm SO excited that your little
Badis seem to be starting to feel comfortable in their new home. Some of the fussier fish do take a bit longer to come out of hiding. I felt the same way about my dwarf loaches when they started to really settle in. They were always fine, but suddenly I started seeing them CONSTANTLY - they, for whatever reason, just decided one day that everything was okay. It might have something to do with the tank starting to mature, or maybe those beautiful WaterSprite plants are helping them to feel at home - whatever it is, I'm so happy for you, and them, and hope they continue along this path :) Such pretty little things. . .
Sorry to hear that you lost your banana worm culture :/ That's a bummer! Hopefully it'll make a comeback. At least you still have the blackworms, though!
